Meet John Fieldhouse, MA RCA FCSD, and founder of Brooke Fieldhouse Associates…

“From my school days in York, North Yorkshire, I studied Interior (Spatial) Design at Manchester, followed by Environmental Design (now Architecture) at the Royal College of Art, London. With experience of most building types including, offices, pubs, clubs, restaurants, airport facilities, shops and residential properties – anything involving how and where we live, meet and work interests me.

From 1995 to 2005 I was a visiting lecturer at Chelsea College of Art (now university of the Arts, London) where I devised and established the Modular Interior Design and Business Skills for Interior Designers’ courses.

My passion and work has allowed me to travel extensively throughout most of the European capitals: Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Warsaw, Bruges, Stockholm, Reykjavik, Barcelona and New York. Working with leading architects and interior designers including, BDG McColl and Glynn Smith Associates, teaching me, not just about great design, but also key project management skills.

My guiding philosophy is and always has been people centred: collaborating and forging close working relationships with clients, colleagues and fellow professionals. Always learning and improving my skills, enjoying my work and solving problems.”
